What I love about playing with a bigsby is all the lush sounds I can get while playing chords.
It seems to bring chords alive when playing on ballads as just a slight flutter on the arm puts the sounds of chords into another place. Not to be over used, it’s just a great effect to embellish songs.
I find my Peerless Tone Master (part of the Master Series), which has a bigsby, is great for ballads and clean sounding rhythms.
It still has that edge to the sound but being an archtop has a lot of transparency as well. I play it through a sixties VOX AC 30 …. and it’s a great combination!
